Although there are three setup processes available for the Linksys velop these are the WPS, web portal, and WiFi app methods. The first method is the WPS process requires a WPS button on the existing modem, if there is not then you need to skip this method. In another case, if you fail in accessing and installing the Linksys WiFi app on your smartphone then you can try another one which is the Linksys Velop setup without app. Which requires reaching out to the Linksys web portal on any web browser of the networked device.

So, for this method, take your PC or laptop and launch its web browser to search for the Linksys default web or IP address. Insert the web address into the browser’s search field and click enter. But, if you are not accessible to the portal through the web browser then use the IP address. The IP address of Linksys will be 192.168.1.1 which you can use to access the portal. Once you are on the setup window the device’s screen will guide you to complete the process till the end.
